Today, 21st April is the first day of doing Meditation and Kriya Yoga. The motivation behind this challenge is that I want to become a better person both as a professional and in personal life.
Day 1
It was the pretty hard, my mind was going all the other places - the series I am currently watching, the work that I am gonna do today, and several other things. For the first 5 minutes I was able to focus on my body parts and feel the sensations in them. But then I started getting restless and then I kept checking the 10 minutes timer I had set. This shows how restless my mind is and how easily it can get distracted.
I kept counting my breaths and again tried bringing the awareness towards my body. When the timer show the last 60 seconds I became so restless and my mind just wanted to get out of this position.
Day 2
Day 2 was a bit better. I tried noise-cancellation headphones with meditation music, this way I was able to focus better and reduced the tendency of my mind to wander. I set a timer for 10 minutes and today I was able to remain seated and focused for the entire duration without feeling restless.
Day 3
Day 3 was pretty good, I did 15 minutes of meditation with any efforts. My mind wandered a little bit but I was able to bring my awarness back to my body. For the first 5 minutes I used meditation music but then stopped it and did it with just noise cancellation headphones. I think I’ll be able to do long sessions of meditations, without much efforts, very soon.
